What is Shrink Sleeve Labeling Machine?

A shrink sleeve labeling machine is a type of packaging equipment used to apply shrink sleeves to various products. Shrink sleeves are labels made from plastic film materials that, when exposed to heat, shrink tightly around the product's container, conforming to its shape.

The process typically involves three main steps:

1.Label Insertion: The shrink sleeves are fed into the labeling machine either as pre-printed rolls or flat sheets. They are then cut into individual labels and positioned for application.

2.Application: The product container passes through the machine, and the shrink sleeves are applied around it. This can be done using various methods, including steam, hot air, or infrared heat tunnels, which shrink the sleeve tightly onto the container.

3.Shrinking: After the sleeve is applied, the container with the sleeve passes through a heat source, causing the sleeve to shrink and conform to the shape of the container. This ensures a snug fit and provides a visually appealing and durable label for the product.

Shrink sleeve labeling machines are commonly used in industries such as food and beverage, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and household products, where a visually appealing label with 360-degree coverage is desired. They offer flexibility in label design, allowing for vibrant graphics, product information, and branding to be displayed on the packaging.
